I know I'm not alone in this, but I reeeeeally love French Fries.
A lot.
And more than that, I love trying lots of different sauces.
My French Fry Board has 7 types of fries and 12 types of sauces, so it's the best of both worlds. It's my own personal heaven!!!
I was inspired to make this epic French Fry Board after seeing a ton of them online the past couple months. The first one I saw was this gorgeous board by The Delicious (thank you for the inspo!), and they seem to have taken off from there.
For mine, I made it a Rainbow French Fry Board by incorporating 12 different sauces of all different flavors and colors. I live in Chicago and love to use local products, so many of these are either local to Chicago or the Midwest.
I've linked them all below with local and Amazon affiliate links in case you want to find the exact fries and sauces I used. There are some really great ones on here! But of course, you can also substitute with your personal faves.
I hope you love making this French Fry Board as much as I did! If you do, please pin & share this post. Thank you! <3 Erin
Recipe: Rainbow French Fry Board
Making the French Fry Board is actually a lot easier than it looks.
The most important thing is that you want all the fries to be hot at the end, so you need to cook them all at once! I put them on 3 trays in even layers, with 2 types of fries per tray.
This sheet pan on the left is from Le Creuset, and I'm obsessed with it. It doesn't warp in the oven, and it's extremely easy to clean. It's pricey though, and I don't usually bake a whole oven full of fries at once, so I just have 1 of it.
The French Fry Board is Cheap to Make!
The French Fry Board is also a lot less expensive to make than you might think.
- The bags of fries were $2-4 each
- Sauces varied, and I listed them all below with exact pricing. But chances are you already have a lot of sauces in your fridge to work with!
Here is a photo everything I used, including a few extras that didn't make the final cut. And I've listed the exact ingredients below in the full recipe.

INSTRUCTIONS
Here's a quick step by step. I also included some videos below if that's helpful!
Your specific recipe will vary based on the exact types of fries you buy -- but the general guidelines are:
- Put all the fries in at once, at a common temp (I did 425 degrees since most of my fries needed that temp or higher)
- Add about 10 minutes to the total cook time (since there are a lot more fries in there at once)
- Arrange fries in single layers on the pan, half a pan for each type (so, 3 pans = 6 types of fries). Flip the fries halfway through cooking, as you normally would
- Monitor them toward the end of the cook time, removing each type as it's ready and putting the others back in
- While the fries are cooking, you can plate your sauces on the board. That way, everything will be ready as soon as the fries are done and you can eat them while they're hot!
That's it! No exact science. The most important part is cooking them all together so they're hot at the end. And picking great sauces, of course.
Enjoy!

Alternate Plating!!
When you make your french fry board, you can style it however you want. One other option I tried was this heart, with the sauces in a rainbow pattern, here. But you can pretty much leave it up to your imagination, and make them differently every time. ❤️
