The BEST Avocado Toast in Chicago

Avocado toast is blamed for SO many things - including the reason we aren't buying houses these days.

But why buy a house when you could buy 31 different avocado toasts? 🥑

I've compiled a list of the BEST avocado toast in Chicago -- 31 of them, to be exact. It's based on my favorites, as well as your input via my instagram stories.

  • and every possible type of egg.

Scroll down for all of the yumminess!!

The BEST Avocado Toast in Chicago, by 312food

Lincoln Square

1. Baker Miller

Baker Miller is a great way to start my list of the best avocado toast in Chicago - it's one of my favorite spots!

For starters, they mill their own grains and make their own breads. So you're getting a lot more awesomeness than just avocado over here.

And their mission is "we share love through bold and beautiful food" - which is awesome and true. If you haven't tried, I highly recommend heading up to Lincoln Square!

Reservations: N/A (it's fast casual)

2. Mortar & Pestle

Mortar & Pestle sits atop mine (and many) lists for great brunch food every day of the week (except Tuesdays, when they're closed).

Their avocado toast is made with smoked salt, lemon, chives, aleppo pepper, and cumin. I also highly recommend their deviled egg specials, which change daily.

Just down the street is Maison Marcel, a new-ish French spot with an inventive menu, a beautiful design, and great avocado toast.

Theirs is a house-made French country bread with creamy avocado, tomatoes, sprouts, and a poached egg.

I also recommend their French pastries and their purple cauliflower grits!

They have two different avocado toast dishes on their menu, so you know they've put a lot of thought into it.

9. 3 Arts Club Cafe

It's no surprise that 3 Arts Club Cafe (at Restoration Hardware) is on my list of the best avocado toast in Chicago.

Everything served at this restaurant is beautiful and delicious -- including the RH Scramble (Texas toast, eggs, and avocado -- which counts as avo toast in my book).

This avocado toast is on their brunch menu (weekends only, I believe). It's made with jicama slaw, queso fresco, cumin lime salt, and an optional egg.
